*This class does NOT replace a State Certified CNA class. This class focuses mainly on the skills needed to pass the NC state exam.
It is highly recommended that you have some type of health care related experience and/or knowledge. This is perfect for people who have done
on-line or home study and need additional lab time, those who have let their certification lapse, or are coming from another state and need to retest, or those who have taken a full course, but never tested or tested but failed the clinical component.
* At this time NC does have 2 categories that allow for people to challenge the exam without taking a state certified class.
The categories are as follows:
other north carolina Nurse Aide
Trained Candidates: All applicants who have attended training in
North Carolina for preparation for this exam at any program
other than a North Carolina state-approved training program or Community College Refresher Course.
challengers:
All applicants who have completed nurse aide training outside
North Carolina, or are listed on another state’s Nurse
Aide Registry (other than North Carolina), or EMT’s, or
other health professionals, or those with NO nurse aide
training.
